What do the Food Banks Need:
Food and beverage
- Proteins: Canned tuna, chicken, or other meats, peanut butter, and canned beans
- Soups and stews: Canned soups and stews
- Grains: Pasta, rice, and cereal
- Produce: Canned fruits and vegetables
- Condiments and cooking basics: Spices, cooking oil, salt, pepper, and jarred pasta sauce
- Kid-friendly items: Juice boxes, applesauce, and granola bars
Personal and household supplies
- Hygiene: Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and toilet paper
- Feminine hygiene: Sanitary pads and tampons
- Baby items: Diapers, wipes, and baby food
- Household: Laundry detergent, dish soap, and paper towels
What to donate
- Check expiry dates to ensure nothing is expired.
- Donate items that are shelf-stable and non-perishable.
- Prefer pop-top cans to avoid the need for a can opener.
- Focus on nutritious items like whole grains and low-sugar options.
