Hi everyody,
It's great to be on the KBER-101 team. I've been doing Salt Lake Radio for a looooong time and it feels good to be ROCKIN OUT again, after all I am one of the original ZEP HEADS.
My music world began when I was just a kid and I got me a trumpet. Well that lasted for about a week when my parents couldn't take it any longer and bought me my first guitar. Eventually I upgraded to a legendary Fender Jaquar...Wow was that sweet!!! I still have it today. Anyway I hooked up with a few garage bands and all the perks. My first band...Love Seargent I played rythm guitar and back up vocals...and then stepped up to lead guitar and vocals with The Wet Fly. At some point I figured out I wasn't going to be a rock star so I decided to be a D J and got my first gig in a dumpy little town...Sydney Nebraska in the middle of no where. what a trip. As soon as I could, I got me a job at the king of wyoming broadcasting KOWB in Laramie.
After a couple of years I made the move to Salt Lake, mainly cause Utah Skiing Kicks Ass!!! I got me the job of all night D.J. on one of utahs original rock stations ROCK 103. I played rock and roll all night and skied all day, after all who needs sleep when you're in heaven!!! I kept that gig as long as I could, but eventually moved on to 98.7.
When opportunity knocked I grabbed the all night gig on the legendary "Z-93"....wow back in heaven again playing killer rock, hosting awesome rock concerts, interviewing some of the greats like Alice Cooper, The Scorpions etc... and of course skiing everyday.
Some of the other Salt Lake radio stations you may have heard me on include FM-100..zzz, kOSY 106.5..zzzz,
OLDIES 94.1, B-98.7, THE BREEZE, KLO plus NOW-97.9.
You can catch me Monday thru Friday 1:00am to 5:00am between Love Line and the Bob and Tom Show, that is when I'm not skiing or mountain climbing or something.
Thanks for listening
Michael
