RATM Moving Forward with Free UK Show
Rage Against The Machine is expected to make an announcement this week regarding the location and time of their upcoming free UK performance.
The band vowed to play a free show in the country if fans voted their song "Killing In The Name" to the Christmas Number One slot in front of X Factor winner Joe McElderderry's song "The Climb."
True to their word, the band assured English fans that they were setting up a concert after their tune emerged as the victor. "As promised we will play a free concert in the UK in celebration of this incredible upset victory over the heavily favored X Factor single," de la Rocha said in December.
Following their astounding win, Andy Copping revealed plans for the show will be revealed shortly. Copping, a promoter for Live Nation and the Download festival issued a Twitter message on Sat. (Feb 7th), revealing, "There should be news regarding the free Rage Against The Machine gig late next week..."
