Crime and Sports 7-6-16

  • A Mississippi man has been indicted for manslaughter after his 8 month old daughter died in his hot car while he worked.  Circuit Judge George Mitchell set a $150,000 bail for 25 year old Joshua Blunt, and he was sent to the Grenada County Jail Tuesday evening.  People close to Blunt were trying to raise money to post his bail.  I wonder if he forgot his cell phone in his car too?
  •  South African Paralympic gold medalist Oscar Pistorius was sent to prison for six years today for the 2013 murder of his smoking hot girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, it’s the latest twist in a trial that has gripped the world.
  •  Jazz fans have to be excited about the offseason trades:  In three different transactions, the Utah Jazz acquired well-seasoned veterans George Hill, Joe Johnson and Boris Diaw.  So much for being the least-experienced and youngest team in the NBA.  This isn’t your grandchildren’s Jazz anymore.
